Richardson School of Law and John Roth, partner at Hastings Laun & Roth LLLC will be presenting a program on understanding the respective duties and ethical responsibilities an estate planning attorney owes to prospective, current, and former clients, as well as to (non-client) intended beneficiaries. This program qualifies for 1.5 MCPE credits.

The 2013 Hawaii State Bar Association Annual Dinner and Silent Auction will be held on Saturday, August 24, at the Hawaii Convention Center. The dinner is being sponsored by the Hawaii State Bar Foundation (HSBF). Robbie and Cindy Alm are event co-chairs.
The dinner theme for this year is "The Spirit of Aloha" in honor of the late Senator Daniel K. Inouye and retired Senator Daniel K. Akaka. Both will be acknowledged at the dinner for their contributions to Hawaii and our nation.
Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Supreme Court Oral Argument Project, which enables private and public school students to attend oral arguments of the Hawai’i Supreme Court. Events are being planned for Hilo, Kona and Kauai by the Chief Justice and the Court.
Proceeds from the dinner will also be used to provide financial assistance to legal service providers for their respective projects and activities.
