Welcome to the

HSBA President
Jeffrey Portnoy
|
Aloha,
I
thank the members who came out on such short notice to “stroll for
justice” in support of the Rule of Law in Pakistan. We had a turnout
of about 75 lawyers; we read the ABA and HSBA statements and explained
to the media in attendance that lawyers nationwide were conducting
similar events. Hopefully our efforts raised some awareness of the
fragility of the pillars of our democratic institutions.
Tonight
is the much awaited annual HSBA dinner, where nine of our members will
compete for the Hawaii Idle Lawyer title and a trip to Las Vegas…..we
might have a couple of seats available, but act fast!
Aloha, Jeff
